The winds blew wild as sand hit him from all sides, the sun just set and a cold front came in from the coastline. "Hey human what’s up?", a goblin in a odd mechanical device that slid across the sand addressed the knight. "Colds coming in and the sun has set you would be a fool to head into the desert, water bandits and other creatures roam when the moon shines on Tanaris". The goblin looked up at the knight with a look of confusement in its eyes. "This may be true but this also is when I shall find the walking dead in the deepest areas among the moonlight" the knight said with blood in his eyes. "You sound like those damn Scarlet Crusade chaps and all that got them was insanity and a lost of business but its your life you throw away...well I can offer you some items while you head to your death", the goblins smile grew bigger with his fangs showing among the moon.
The knight walked past him but in the back of his mind one thing kept flowing over and over the Scarlet Crusade. Having fought many of there members with the old monastery and seeing the insanity in there eyes, it was the one thing that frightened Baeodin more then anything to drop to there level. Was he heading in there direction when was it time to call this hunt of the dead over?
His thoughts brought him to the last time he saw his true love and best friend one last time. They all were drinking in the Pig and Whistle talking about some previous adventures they recently had. Zerlock was showing off the fight Baeodin had with a nasty naga using simple magic. Tempess in all her deadly beauty sat and watched as her eyes kept falling on Baeodin at times. They had been childhood friends and after the fall of Lordaeron a few years he ran into her again in Stormwind. They made a pact to hunt the dead and one day retake there home. Baeodin got up and walked to the doorway and looked up to the moon. A pair of arms wrapped around him from behind and Tempess laughed as he turned. "Come on Bae its a wonderful night lets get drunk and have some fun we can walk the city laughing together all night". Baeodin sighed and turned back to the moon.. “You go back in get Zerlock another ale Ill be in soon enough I need some air" Baeodin said as he kept his hand on the hilt of his sword. "Your no fun well you did great today that Naga was no match for us, ok Ill leave you be don’t take long hun", with that she made him turn and kissed him hard and went back in to the tavern. Baeodin sighed as he watched her walk away, he took out of his small pack a scroll and read it again.....
I know you knight you survived the fall of the greatest city as we inside suffered, you and that wench. I shall enjoy watching her suffer then I shall tear you apart for all the Forsaken you have destroyed, your time is near Baeodin if your a honorable man come meet me at the full light of the moon among the deserts of Tanaris it is there you will have this one chance to save her before I take her away and make her one of us for you to hunt. Come only you if you dare.....

Baeodin crushed the scroll in his hands and walked away into the night not looking back on the tavern.
"Ah so the honorable one appears I knew you would come you haven’t changed at all my squire", standing near a small fire the undead knight stood as Baeodin neared. The sands blew harder and the sounds of small rocks could be heard hitting both there armor. "Dimitris my old friend and mentor I had heard the rumors you had fallen but I had no idea you would become this, is there nothing left in your heart that would make you seek eternal peace", Baeodin said as he threw his hood back and took his two handed sword and slammed it into the sand. The undead laughed with a mocking guttery sound “Oh dear Baeodin you haven’t changed at all, don’t you understand I am truly free now and nothing will give me more pleasure then eating your flesh!”
Coming at the knight full strength Dimitris threw a small dagger and hit Baeodin in the shoulder. Yelling in a rage Baeodin quickly grabbed up his two handed blade and rolled to the side before a sword slid past his neck. Baeodin pulled the dagger out as blood spurted from his shoulder a look of fire could be seen in his eyes “Now my old mentor lets finish this!” Baeodin charged in with such force and his sword clanged against the undead blade. For the next half hour it was a non stop battle, steel clashed against steel and small cuts had began to show all over both sword wielders. “Face it my young squire you will never be the knight I was”, Dimitris laughed as his blade slashed across Baeodin’s cheek. “You underestimate me my old mentor, and you forget one thing, as you said yourself I survived, and chose to become a warrior of the light!”
With that said Baeodin screamed to the sky “By the light give me your strength to defeat this undead abomination”. For a moment Dimitris started to move back as he knew the words of the Paladins and there power they could use. Baeodin’s sword grew bright as the sun and with all his might he came at the undead with full force. His sword like fire destroyed the undead blade and lopped off Dimitris’s arm. The undead fell upon the sand from the might of the sword coming down on him. He started laughing hysterically “Very good my old squire you are worthy to become one of Sylvanus’s chosen… Now!” A sound of a arrow could be heard behind Baeodin and before he could turn it sunk right into his left leg. Baeodin fell to one knee and screamed in pain as another shot into his other shoulder. “By the light I call upon all your power of good to save me from this fate” Baeodin screamed to the sky as yet another arrow sunk into his other arm that made him release his sword. Dimitris stood and laughed at the fallen knight “Do you truly think me to come and fight you alone, I know of your adventures my old squire and I know the power you posses the orcs knowing are alliance is great indeed were more then happy to come and watch you become a knight of Sylvanus. I will truly enjoy watching you tear apart that wench Tempess she will be allowed your fate only to watch in horror as you take the last breath from her.” Dimitris laughed his most demonic laugh as he grabbed Baeodin by the hair and threw his head back with his only arm. Whispering under his breath he made one last prayer for the light to save him, but nothing happened “Tempess please forgive me”. Baeodin shut his eyes as he heard behind him a orc laughing with delight watching this sadistic game unfold.
A roar that could topple a mountain could be heard near the mountains… “This shall not be his fate, you are right he will be a chosen warrior but not to Slyvanus, he shall be a chosen to me!” A deep voice could be heard all around. The undead and orc backed away from Baeodin as a bolt of blue lighting shot from the mountains and slammed into Baeodin rising him into the air. Baeodin screamed with searing pain and plummeted to the ground crashing into the sand. A few moments went by and only silence could be heard. The undead looked back to the orc “We must report back to Sylvanus on this, a pity we could not perform the ritual and make him one of us”. Dimitris bowed at the corpse of Baeodin and started walking away with the orc who just shrugged at him.
“You shall never see the city of Lordaeron again my old mentor” a deep voice came from behind the orc and Dimitris. Startled they both turned to see Baeodin standing as if he never fought this battle. His two handed sword he held over his shoulder with ease and his hood he wore over his face. They both could swear it looked as if blue runes glowed under his hood in his skin. “That’s impossible you were dead as a corpse, I shall enjoy this even more and your fate will be true death your not even worthy for Sylvanus!” Dimitris ran at the knight with full strength with his one arm threw another dagger right at Baeodin’s face. Baeodin almost danced to the side as the blade flew threw the air past him. “Not this time!” Baeodin swung his sword with full strength screaming the sky and cut the undead right in half. The orc seeing this fired a arrow straight at Baeodin. Baeodin again danced out of the way as the bolt flew right by his stomach. The orc said something in his language and turn to ran. Baeodin started to run after him but a heavy weight fell upon him as if he was drained of all the power that saved him. He fell to the ground and his eyes began to close, he saw the orc turn and laugh and placed a arrow in his bow. A darkness fell over both them and a roar came from the sky. Baeodin’s last vision saw the orc scream to the sky and run in terror.
Baeodin awoke as the sun glared upon his face. He shot up remembering bits and pieces of the nights event. Next to him he found a scroll and small pouch, reading the scroll it said
“My chosen warrior we shall meet again in time, for now take these gifts I present to you the first is a great strength that will allow you to survive the toughest battles, but it will only last for so long, use it wisely. The second is a steed I created for you take the sands of the pouch and blow them into the air Prantos will aid you when ever you call upon him….go back to Stormwind find the bravest adventures that will follow you to the darkest depths. Protect Azeroth with all your might your fight is no longer just the undead many things threaten this world. Take my third gift this medallion and present it the greatest champions of Azeroth, they will become your knowledge of the threats to our land, serve them all with the greatest of honor my chosen warrior… Warrior of the Shifting Sands.
Baeodin took the felt around his neck the medallion he read about and looked at it, the symbol was a dragon with swirling sands all around him. He looked to the ground picked up the pouch of sand and did what the scroll said. A moment later the a whirlwind of sand shot up in front of him and before him stood a horse that’s colors looked as if he was made of the sand itself. Baeodin bowed before the horse and the horse bowed its head to him. He got on the horse looked out to the horizon where the sun was now coming to its fullest. “Well Prantos my new friend we have much to do… let’s ride yah!
