Ragnaros had fallen. Onyxia had been slain. The efforts for a new war were beginning to pick up pace, supplies being delivered at a constant rate. Xilo arrived at the Undercity, walking with his back well slouched over, his hands drifting at his sides as his eyes barely remained open to see where he was headed...
He fell into a sitting position next to one of the many vendors within the capital, breathing heavily as he closed his gleaming eyes, unstrapping the shield he carried on his back and letting it hit the ground next to him. Xilo looked at the Quel'Serrar within his hand, grasped tightly from the two major battles he had taken part in.
He raised his head, looking around him at the Undead soldiers that walked past, preparing for the new war which will come soon. His mind drifted.
"All I've known in this new life is war. I've guarded my brethren and friends from their enemies in our constant efforts against powerful and seemingly unbeatable foes. My only comfort has been in their survival, and in my love for the only one who has stuck by my side through my entire Undeath...", he thought.
His eyes closed once more, sighing. He removed the Helm of Might, laying it on his lap, thinking once more.
"I'm tired of fighting. I'm sick of these wars, these endless battles day by day... My only remaining desire is to be in peace with my lifelong love, to embrace her in a place where time knows no limits... Is there such a place? Can I really abandon all of which I fought for, and in many cases almost died for?"
His hand shivering, he let the Quel'Serrar fall to his other side. He held the Helm of Might in his hands, and looked it at sternly.
"Farewell, forever." He said quietly as the helm glowed brightly, and drew out it's magical properties from itself. What remained was but a glowing shard. Xilo smiled, and continued the process with the rest of his armor and equipment, placing the shards in a bag one by one, all but the Quel'Serrar.
He held it once more within his hand, and lifted it, his arm light without the armor on it.
"You are too powerful to be disenchanted, eh...?" Xilo grinned at the blade, as if the blade was attempting to stop him from abandoning it.
Xilo stood up wearily, and looked at the vendor to his side, speaking to him casually.
"Hey. Take this. I have no use for it any longer." Xilo gripped the blade's handle once more, as the memories of the countless battles ran through his mind, and he let go... He let go of the sword, of his fighting spirit. He let go of it all, and the sword fell to the floor in front of the vendor, who knew not what to say. As the vendor picked up the blade, he looked back up... and Xilo was nowhere to be found.

In Tanaris, Xilo held Lilani by the hand, looking out towards the bright sun with tired eyes.
"Where has your armor gone, my love? Did you forget it somehow? Where is your mount? Tell me..." she asked.
"Shh. Shh. I have somewhere to show you, dearest. A place where we can get away from it all. A place... Where we can be together. With no worries."
"Get away from what? Worries? We are together. I don't understand."
"Just don't worry. Follow me, it's quite a trip."
South they walked, passing across many beasts and insects which seemed to know better than to attack them. Across the desert they found a place covered by steep mountains, with fallen towers and forgotten ships around it, the great dragon Anachronos guarding the front entrance, which was sealed indeterminately.
"Come, it's on the other side..." Xilo said raspily, tugging Lilani along behind the mountains...
He showed her a hidden path behind the mountains, in which they were able to jump and just barely reach an edge they were able to climb over. From there they walked carefully to the top of the cave, where Xilo looked at Lilani.
"Now, here. Stab deep into the ground."
"Why don't you do it? You have your blade, no?"
"Just do it. For me."
She looked at him warily, and then sighed, slamming her blade into the ceiling of the cavern, cracking it and eventually making it collapse into a small hole.
"How... How did you know about this specific area?" She asked, shocked.
"I've been searching. Searching... For this."
He took her by the hand, and jumped. She gasped and fell down after him, both of them hitting the ground, her on top of him.
"Sorry for the rough fall." He said, smiling at her as she smiled back unknowingly, then stood up quickly, her hands behind her back.
"Sorry...-"
He took her waist, and pulled her down, his other hand taking her mask, to bring her into a quick kiss.
"Follow me."
Standing up, he directed her across the cave, which grew increasingly strange with fallen houses and ships, the background becoming full with auroras and galaxies.
"Xilo... Where...? Why?"
He turned her around, to the sight of a huge mystical hourglass, the sands of time passing across it. Lights of all colors swirled, and the buildings and scenaries of different eras were shown all around it.
"Here... My love, Lilani. Here, we may stay without any interference. Here... Where time has no end, no beginning. There is only our passion."
He took her within his arms, but she pushed away, placing a finger on his lips, and shaking her head.
"I... I understand what you mean. I understand now, what has occured. But I am not ready... I have not completed my unlife, there are still things I wish to accomplish... Please, return with me..."
"I am finished, Lilani. I am done... I am weary, and I cannot move from here. This is my final resting ground, and my final wish is for it to be OURS."
She shook her head again. "I am sorry. I cannot grant it... Not yet. But someday... I will. Someday, when I am done, when I am finished... I shall return. And we will be together. This is my promise, and it will not fade. Nor will my love..."
"Lilani... I..."
She vanished from sight, a single flower left on the ground. Xilo kneeled down, and took it within one hand, lifting his eyes to the hourglass which appeared to be counting the time between them... The time until the time they reunite once more, eternally.
"I will wait for you. Forever."
