<Trilink smiles as he accepts the challenge of the Darkspear Trolls. After a long pause, he adlibs a poem without breaking stride>
In days of old there was the troll and primal was that savage soul! Naked through the jungle they would run, The hunt; the kill, both life and fun
The world was theirs for many ages 'til opposition came in many stages Qiraji, Elves, and men of Arathor came armor-shod to every door
Three-thousand years of war ensued The Trolls' ways proved far too crude, They had to protect themselves with steel So that man and elf their wrath could feel
Helm and shield, gauntlets, boots Trolls in metal fighting suits Yet still their casualties quickly rose For one can fight best in ways he knows
Of their skill in stealth they were proud But in armour they were clumsy and loud They had to find a compromise to fit this bill: Armoured they had to always be yet quiet still.
The soles they cut out from their boots returned they to their crude-ish roots Their ornate metal armors still were glamorous The trolls were now just much less clamorous!
